Hi, I’m Andrea O’Reilly, a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) in Ontario. I work with adults navigating life’s challenges — from grief and trauma to relationship struggles, anxiety, burnout, chronic illness, and the inner critic that can hold us back.I know how hard it can be to reach out for support. You might feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or worried that therapy won’t help. My approach is simple: I meet you where you are, with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your pace and experiences.

How I Work with Clients

Therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” process — it’s a collaborative journey. Together, we explore your story, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and find ways to help you feel more grounded, understood, and empowered.
Some days, we focus on practical strategies for managing anxiety, burnout, or life transitions. Other days, we pause to reflect on grief, trauma, or self-critical thoughts. You set the pace, and I’ll meet you there — holding space for your experiences while gently guiding insight, growth, and self-compassion.
I integrate evidence-informed approaches with a trauma-sensitive, relational perspective, always ensuring that therapy aligns with your goals and comfort. While outcomes vary, I promise a safe, ethical, and empathetic space to explore, process, and heal.

I’ve seen how even small steps in therapy can help someone reclaim hope, find clarity, and feel more at home in their own life — and it’s a privilege to walk alongside clients in that process.

Background and Experience

Andrea holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wilfrid Laurier University, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. This foundation in clinical social work, trauma-informed practice, and ethical, client-centered care informs everything she does in her work with clients.

Andrea’s clinical and leadership experience spans multiple roles that have deepened her expertise in grief, trauma, and adult mental health. She served as Executive Director at the Centre for Grief & Healing, guiding clinical programming, supervising teams, and supporting adults navigating loss and life transitions. She also worked in a Family Health Team, providing collaborative care and supporting clients with diverse mental health needs in community-based settings.

Her specialized clinical training includes advanced work in grief therapy, trauma-informed care, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and suicide assessment and intervention. Andrea is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), integrating these evidence-informed approaches into her work while maintaining a relational, reflective, and ethically grounded practice.

Through this combination of hands-on clinical experience, leadership in grief support, and advanced training, Andrea creates a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, burnout, or life transitions.
